The 15th conference on "Harmonisation within Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling for Regulatory Purposes" took place in Madrid, Spain, May 6-9, 2013.

The local organizers of the conference maintain the conference web site at at www.harmo.org/harmo15.

Proceedings and PowerPoint presentations

Each paper as well as PowerPoint presentations and posters from the participants are available on-line.

The papers are extended abstracts with a typical length of 5 pages.

Some of the papers have been published in a full-length, peer reviewed version in special issues of the International Journal of Environment and Pollution: IJEP Volume 54 No. 2-4 (2014) and IJEP Volume 55 Nos 1/2/3/4 (2014).

Spectacular smoke plume - video from Borex dispersion experiment

A 3-minute video providing a spectacular illustration of the effect of stability on atmospheric dispersion was shown by the chairman of the Harmonisation initiative, H.R. Olesen, during his presentation in Madrid.
A photo with a smoke plume from the Borex experiment - where the video was captured - has decorated the Harmo.org web site for many years.
The video is now freely available through the link http://envs.au.dk/borex.

Classic data sets

Conference participants were invited to use new and additional data for several classic tracer dispersion experiments, which became available in Spring 2012.
These data sets include: EPRI Kincaid, EPRI Bull Run, Round Hill and Project Prairie Grass. The data sets and associated information are still available.
There is more information on the data at www.harmo.org/NewClassicDatasets
